Cask hosts SACC-Ohio Strategic planning session

In April of 2024, CASK Consulting conducted a strategic planning session for the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce Ohio. Working with the Chamber of Commerce proved to be a welcomed opportunity for our Lead Consultant and Strategist, Mireille Kious who herself was born in Sweden. CASK values the diversity present within Ohio’s business community and we are grateful to see this conviction reflected by our partner organizations. Working together with the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce Ohio board of directors CASK helped the organization develop a 90-day plan with the aims of expanding the Chamber’s influence within the greater Ohio region.

innovative treatment modalities at abw

CASK Consulting is honored to partner with ABW in helping implement the groundbreaking initiative of Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) as a way to aid those individuals suffering from substance abuse in their recovery. ABW is excited by the prospect of introducing EMDR therapy into its recovery program. The goal of this initiative is to address the prevalent co-occurrence of Substance Abuse Disorder (SUD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). EMDR, which utilizes bilateral stimulation to process traumatic memories, has been shown to significantly reduce PTSD symptoms, potentially halving the typical treatment duration. By offering this innovative therapy, ABW can provide comprehensive, expedited care tailored to each client's unique recovery journey, ensuring long-term sobriety and mental well-being. CASK plans to not only support ABW in seamlessly integrating EMDR therapy into their recovery services but is also honored to be a part of such forward-thinking initiatives. Together, we are committed to making a lasting impact on individual's recovery journeys, setting a new standard for substance abuse treatment.

CASK Hosts abw strategic planning session

In December of 2023, CASK Consulting led a transformative strategic planning session for ABW (A Better Way). Our goal was to help ABW effectively enact their guiding principles, ensuring the organization’s mission was not only met but exceeded. Over the past years, ABW has impressively expanded its reach providing over 100 beds, which have collectively helped more than 300 individuals suffering from substance abuse and other co-occurring disorders. During our strategic planning session, we collaborated closely with ABW’s board to review these achievements and identify areas for further growth. CASK pledged their ongoing support while underscoring their belief in ABW’s vision. As CASK Consulting, we are immensely proud of facilitating this session, guiding ABW through the development of expanding their influence and enhancing their treatment modalities. Our expertise and strategic insight have positioned CASK as the premier consulting group, dedicated to driving the success of organizations like ABW by ensuring their mission is effectively and sustainably fulfilled.

What is Cleveland Wise?

After almost four years in the strategic planning space with numerous non-profits, we are launching a new initiative called “ClevelandWise” based on gathering the highest quality wisdom the Cleveland and surrounding business community has to offer provided to your inbox monthly via subscription. We realized that the vibe of intentional empowerment exposes us to the space of infinite possibilities, curiosities and wisdom, where supporting one another is the most organic thing we can do! The goal is to provide access to Foundation leaders and marketing and development professionals, as well as strategically savvy business leaders, that can guide you through best practices and their most impactful implementations for your mission. This subscription-based model would offer you access to vital wisdom that can propel your mission forward without extensive time away from your daily organizational practices. The intention is to offer you this information through regular webinars, TED Talk-style presentations, occasional in-person meetings with business professionals and guidance on implementing these practices.

COFFEE ANYONE? EVERYONE?

At cask we were (almost) overwhelmed by the number of you who responded to our invite for coffee last year. As a result we have gotten to know some of the wonderful people having the most impact in the areas of addiction and recovery, community development and the arts locally here in North East Ohio.

We are still seeking partners particularly in the areas of STEM and sustainability to be part of our cask community in 2020. So the invite still stands!

If you feel a little in the dark about what’s going on at cask that’s ok. We are spending 2019 focused on corporate engagements and building a network of non-profit partners but we promise we are not ignoring you.

a vintage year!

While cask readies ourselves for the future we very much still want to hear from you. Our focus during 2019 was two fold. Most days we were focused on delivering strategic value, growth and team development to our corporate partners. As for the rest of the time, that’s when the real fun started. We built upon our network of non-profit partners through our pro-bono workshops to better understand each groups needs and identify synergies and fit prior to rolling out our new non-profit program in the new year.

But don’t let our timeline stop you from connecting. Need strategy sooner? Want to discuss how you can become a charter member of the program either as a business, non-profit or foundation? Just want to buy us a coffee and ask “what’s happening at cask? We’re here…
